P&R Ladies secured the point they needed on Saturday with a tense and goalless draw at Wycombe.  After a 4-1 defeat to them earlier in the season P&R knew the game would be tough but with so many new faces in the 2’s since that game this result was never in question. (Well it was but we don’t like to say how nervous everyone was )

P&R started brightly at the Cressex pitch and went looking for an early goal - trying to bear in mind the good stuff that Coach Bev had filled our heads with in the changing rooms.  Chick came closest to a goal with a strike that whistled past the right hand post and Penny C & Tracy both looked dangerous from short corners.

Most of the battle was played out in the middle of the pitch with neither side getting the upper hand.  The P&R back 4 put in another great performance, with Lucia going on a couple of runs and B solid as ever.  Sharkey made some more great saves - smothering some good chances for Wycombe to take the lead.

No one could find the killer blow and the final score of 0-0 was the fairest result.  The Ladies 2’s now sit 9th awaiting the result of the Bicester game which may push them back down to 10th, but unless there is a League restructure the team looks safe to stay up and improve next season.
