The game appeared very even with both teams having scoring opportunities but it was Slough that took the lead with a very composed goal with the ball being lifted just over Vicki’s (GK) hand pad into the back of the net. We applied some more pressure and were rewarded with a short corner that resulted with Ashton Marriott slipping in a rebound ball from the goal keeper. In the second half our focus was to maintain possession and keep our composure. The team did exactly that and the hard work paid off, the ball was passed to Lucia Payne who took on the keeper and hit the back board creating a 2-1 win over Slough.
